JOB TITLE: Bay Lead - Changeover DEPARTMENT: ServiceFLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Assistant Service ManagerSummary:Reporting to the Assistant Service Manager, the incumbent assists in planning and executing tank truck changeovers in the service department.Supervisory Responsibility:This job has no supervisory responsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Install fluid delivery systems on lube vans, petroleum tank trucks and trailersFabricate and modify components of fluid delivery systems which involves cutting, bending, welding, and attaching metal and aluminum materialsEffective communication with the Assistant Manager on any impediments to the production process resulting in potential delays to the end customerRead job orders to determine work to be performed per customer requestAssemble ready-made and fabricated components to build fluid delivery systemsRepair fluid delivery systems by replacing malfunctioning partsRequired Competencies:Ensure compliance with Company Safety, OSHA, R-Stamp, and DOT policies/regulations by all personnelEnsure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) affecting ProductionEnsures quality assurance with welding and fabrication on the tankChampion the Seneca Tank core valuesServe the customer above all elseDo what you say you will doUnderstand the value of reputationWhatever you do, do it wellPut in more than You take outRequired Qualifications:Experience building or repairing diesel, gas, or hydraulic equipment utilizing hand, electric, and pneumatic toolsCan work unsupervised in tank truck unloading assembly, chassis prep, or product testingProficient in fabrication, welding, electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systemsASME welding certifiedFollow, correct, and improve blueprints/schematicsTroubleshoots and repairs simple to complex problemsCan read workorders and identify any issues with parts or buildResponsible for bay efficiency and delivery deadlinesPerforms in-process quality checksManages bay hours and effectively records in appropriate systemPhysical Demands:Position requires ability to pass DOL requirements of a grade 4 heavy work physical capacity profile. This includes exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of visionMust be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motionsSafety:Follow U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T) regulations regarding petroleum tanks, trailers, and box vans, as well as the policies found in Seneca Tank's Safety ManualDisclaimer:This document is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this job.
