- Manage the maintenance of facilities and manufacturing tools utilizing superior mechanical knowledge. Manage on-site maintenance staff and qualified contractors.
- Develop a multi-level Total Product Maintenance (TPM) to optimize equipment effectiveness.
- Plan, document, and track preventive and remedial maintenance using the management system InfraLink.
- Develop and maintain a budget.
- Report to VP of Manufacturing and dotted line to our Facilities Service Center Manager.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance, and minimizing downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Inspect, clean, and lubricate machinery components to prevent equipment failures and ensure smooth operations.
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues, interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to determine appropriate repair methods.
- Utilize hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment to perform maintenance tasks accurately and safely.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, minimizing disruption to manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Assist in the installation, modification, and relocation of machinery and equipment as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, including plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and other general maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Keep abreast of advancements in equipment technology, industry standards, and best practices in maintenance techniques.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
- Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and experience with electrical wiring and control systems.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking and documenting maintenance activities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
- 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor of Science In Engineering or Technical degree or 6 + years of experience with a Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
