Excellent opportunity for experienced Controller with well established, dynamic and growing commercial construction company.Direct Hire position with a salary range of $135,000-$145,000Position does require in office daily in the Athens / Watkinsville area. Oversee cash flow management, banking operations, and treasury reporting functions
Lead preparation and review of journal entries and general ledger maintenance
Administer fixed asset recording, depreciation, and reconciliation processes
Facilitate efficient month-end close procedures and ensure reporting deadlines are met
Collaborate on monthly financial statement compilation and perform analytical reviews
Execute regulatory compliance reporting requirements and statutory filings
Develop management reporting packages and key performance indicators
Review current workflows and recommend system improvements and efficiency gains
Participate in establishing accounting standards, documentation, and control frameworks
Contribute to cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Experience with Vista / Viewpoint Software preferred
Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience including experience at the controller level
Exceptional organizational skills and time management capabilities
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience in a construction or cost accounting environment
Ability to lead meetings regarding financial aspects of construction projects
