- Manage month end close process and financial reporting package preparation, including balance sheet, statement of activities, cash flows and indirect cost allocations for

- Oversee and coordinate the annual audit for LSSI and the Foundation. Report findings and audit adjustments to the Controller and CFO at weekly meetings during audit.
- Identify and resolve accounting theory and financial statement issues.
- Manage accounting staff and deliver reviews, hire and terminate, as appropriate.
- Train LSSI staff on all aspects of Dynamics Great Plains usage throughout the state of Illinois.
- Gather data and report on specific items when requested by management or audit.
- Significant audit work paper management, preparation and guidance.
- Analyze financial statements for errors and explain significant variances.
- Manage key GL processes: Balance Sheet reconciliations, new/closed networks, locations, programs, account set up, etc.
- Performs other related tasks as needed.
- Bachelor Accounting Degree required.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience supervising or managing a team.
- Dynamics Great Plains experience a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, presentation and pc/computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
