Under minimal supervision, you will assist with property disposition efforts including excessing government property and the management of high-risk government property such as advanced research equipment and materials. General tasks include but not limited to participating in planning meetings, defining tasks and schedules, setting and meeting quotas, and identifying and collecting excess government property. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of property management functions.Job duties include:Material Inventory
  • Handle material and government property including warehouse support.
  • Use forklift for material handling tasks.
  • Manage property inventory, including preparing for and responding to property audits.
  • Support condition assessments of high-risk property inventory.
Property Disposition
  • Collect, screen, and classify excess property.
  • Properly disposition property, or manage identified high-risk property.
  • Perform property reuse, recycling, and scrap processes as necessary.
  • Document actions, update records, and generate documentation.
  • Comply with procedures, regulation, and management directives.
Identification
  • Identify incoming property that is subject to property management system control.
  • Collect and organize acquisition information relevant to controlled items.
  • Carefully watch for high-risk government property and tag or identify such property accordingly.
  • Conduct High Risk Property reviews and apply appropriate markings and tags to controlled items.
Reports
  • Generate and distribute property reports.
  • Support GSA federal personal property reporting.
  • Manage inquiries resulting from reports.
Records, Utilization
  • Update property records with changes.
  • Detect property use changes by surveying and observing deployed property.
  • Re-inventory property assigned to separating employees and transfers.
  • Create paper and electronic property records with necessary detail.
.Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Associate's Degree or certification program of comparable scope and 5 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Extensive knowledge in specialized focused business support functions. A comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects of business support activities, and their practical application to a wide variety of problems and situations specific to the discipline or field supported. Advanced skills in applicable software packages and office equipment. Considerable project administration and business services skills. Broad knowledge of specific principles, procedures, and practices related to supported fields and disciplines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team and interpersonal skills.
