Must work on-site, up to 10% travel.OVERVIEW:The Calibration Engineer will be responsible for coordinating propulsion system calibration (MCP/EVCU), debugging, and investigating calibration issues on pre-production vehicles. They will interface with various teams to compile critical vehicle issues, provide assessments, and coordinate fixes.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and coordinate propulsion system calibration debugging and investigation on pre-production vehicles.
- Interface with vehicle build team, EE triage, and ePT triage teams to compile critical vehicle issues.
- Provide initial assessment of each issue including data collection, analysis, and documentation.
- Coordinate implementation of fixes to the vehicle.
- Demonstrate ability to work with others and communicate updates verbally and in writing.
- Support and promote team accomplishments over personal achievement.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree is desired.
- 5+ years of experience in powertrain development, propulsion system controls, and/or calibration.
- Past experience working on hybrid or electric vehicle architecture.
- Expertise in CANalyzer/vehicle CAN communication.
- Experience with software and equipment for engine calibration, MATLAB, measurement, and analysis (Inca-Etas / Horiba / Vector) and other data processing languages/tool sets such as Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, etc.
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
- Expected travel: 0 - 10% or less, occasionally to Chelsea proving grounds (1-2 times a month) and Windsor assembly plant in Canada (3-4 times a year).
