Overview:At FutureCare our Geriatric Nursing Assistant/Activities Assistant provide a high level of support and positive customer service to our residents. Offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc. Responsibilities:
  • Document and communicate all resident interactions, concerns and issues with Activities Director
  • Perform ADL's on residents
  • Assist residents with toileting, onboarding and off boarding the transportation vehicle
  • Assist residents with meal feeding if necessary
  • Perform a variety of other support services as assigned with residents throug the acttivities department
  • Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a current certification and GNA license in Maryland
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude
  • Previous experience working as an Activities Assistant highly desirable
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Previous experience working in an a skilled nursing facility a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with residents
  • Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level
  • Current CPR Certification
