Join us and make a meaningful impact on the future of energy and transportation.Job Summary:The Industrial Hygiene Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team at Panasonic Energy. This internship provides exposure to EH&S programs, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The intern will assist in maintaining a safe workplace by supporting inspections, audits, training initiatives, and safety campaigns. This program is designed for motivated students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in industrial hygiene and workplace safety.Internship Details:
12-week Program: Monday, May 18th - Friday, August 7th (dates are subject to change)
The program will be a full-time paid summer internship working for Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America onsite in DeSoto, KS
Must be able to attend the entirety of the internship

Essential Duties:EH&S Program Support:
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of EH&S policies and procedures
Support the creation and delivery of EH&S training programs for employees
Contribute to safety campaigns, events, and awareness programs to promote a strong safety culture
Inspections & Risk Assessment:
Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with EH&S regulations
Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures
Participate in incident investigations, including data collection, analysis, and root cause identification
Data & Reporting:
Compile and analyze EH&S data, prepare reports, and present findings to management
Stay up to date with EH&S regulations, permits, and records to maintain compliance
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate EH&S requirements into daily operations
Communicate technical information clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write and communicate technical information clearly and concisely
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
