
Paint Process Engineering Specialist

- Set and manage production, quality, and efficiency targets (e.g., units produced, Quality Index, HPV); monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify issues, improve paint quality, and enhance overall plant performance.
- Supervise operators and team members, providing feedback, training, and development support.
- Plan and manage new model launches, including facility modifications, tooling prep, and progress tracking.
- Lead or support construction, equipment installation, facility upgrades, and trial runs involving robotics, conveyors, and automation systems.
- Identify and implement process and cost improvements through investment, automation, outsourcing, and tool optimization.
- Review specifications and requirements for new vehicle production, including procurement and logistics support.
- Monitor plant operations, report major issues or nonconformities, and coordinate with leadership and related teams.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Recruit and train employees, foster interdepartmental communication, and guide junior technicians.
- Promote a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment while driving cost-saving strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering
- 2+ years of related experience, preferably in automotive or paint plant operations
- Strong skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent applications
- Experience with paint facility systems, robotics, and automation projects
- Ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional projects, and communicate effectively
- Experience working in or with global teams; Korean language fluency is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
