Description:Qualifications:
  • A two-year college degree, or 48 college semester hours, or Work-keys test required
  • Nine (9) hours of early childhood education course-work or Child Development Associate (CDA)
  • Experience working with pre-school age children is preferred
  • Ability to carry out tasks requiring moderate physical exertion
  • Ability to follow oral and written instruction
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Daily attendance and punctuality are required for ensuring that program goals are met
  • Assists pre-kindergarten students individually or in groups with lesson assignments for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts
  • Implements, under the supervision of the teacher, the instructional program and lesson plans
  • Monitors individual students, classroom, library, playground activities, etc. to ensure a safe and positive learning environment
  • Learns and maintains knowledge of policies
  • Performs routine record keeping and reports and clerical functions
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive data and information pertaining to individual students and/or overall program
  • Assume reasonable job-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor in order to meet the needs of the students/school
