- Lead the development and coordination of integrated wellness strategies across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with each program’s unique goals and compliance requirements.
- Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team that includes health coordinator, health specialist, mental health therapist, health consultant, nutrition consultant, dietary staff, and interns.
- Collaborate with program directors, family support, youth & teens, and early childhood education, home visiting & doula teams to embed health equity and trauma-informed practices across all services.
- Collaborates with other MSV programs (Early Childhood Education & Care, Youth & Teens, Home Visiting & Doula, Community Connections) for the purpose of building partnership, integrated services, internal referrals.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director Support Services, develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state performance standards/regulations, and organization policies.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director of Support Services, establish clear performance metrics and accountability measures for integrated health services team.
- Participates in the management of the program budget, including monitoring, and approving program expenses. Ensures that the operating expenses are well within the prescribed limits of the budget plans, fiscal guidelines, and funding requirements.
- Participate in planning and evaluating functional activities, recruiting and training new staff, and supporting the professional development and growth opportunities of the team.
- Participate in coaching, hiring, performance reviews, leaves, promotions, terminations, and documentation of all personnel actions.
- Oversee the planning, preparation, and implementation of nutrition services in accordance with USDA/CACFP regulations, program performance standards, and local health codes.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update nutrition plans that address program-wide practices and individual dietary needs, including allergies, medical accommodations, and culturally responsive meal options.
- Supervise dietary staff and ensure safe food handling, kitchen operations, and documentation in line with USDA/CACFP and licensing requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to maintain USDA/CACFP and local health department compliance, including menu development, portion control, and reporting.
- Ensure timely access to physical, dental, and behavioral health services, including developmental and social-emotional screenings.
- Coordinate with medical and mental health providers to support children and families with identified needs and facilitate appropriate referrals and follow-up.
- Integrate trauma-informed practices and wellness supports throughout all program areas.
- Establish and manage systems for data collection, reporting, and analysis of service delivery and integrated health outcomes.
- Lead ongoing quality improvement efforts, including self-assessment, corrective action planning, and team training.
- Collaborate with families to support their wellness goals and promote self-advocacy in healthcare settings.
- Lead or participate in local partnerships and coalitions addressing maternal/child health, youth well-being, food access, and behavioral health.
- Facilitate staff and parent trainings on health literacy, mental wellness, nutrition, and related topics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in health, nutrition, or early childhood services, including supervisory experience and oversight of food programs.
- Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start health and nutrition standards, early childhood education program, home visiting & doula programs, and youth-serving programs preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Skills in regulatory compliance, data-informed, decision-making, and cross-sector collaboration.
- Strong communication, written skills, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to establish and maintain rapport and professional relationships with co-workers, team members, and families enrolled in services. Ability to relate to a diverse population.
- Demonstrate effective conflict-resolution skills and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Manage crisis situations in a calm and effective manner.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently, with the ability to handle daily responsibilities and projects with minimal direct supervision.

- Demonstrates intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, videoconference software and participant electronic data systems.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The applicant must submit to a criminal background check and adult abuse and neglect screening and maintain a cleared status throughout employment.
- The applicant must submit MMR, Tdap and pass a TB and immunization health screen upon hire and update TB/physicals as required by the licensing standards.
- Extended work hours beyond 40 hours/week when necessary, including evenings, weekends and for special events.
- Flexibility with schedule as requested.
- Overnight trips may be required periodically.
