Make it your story.Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will oversee execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. You will also showcase your expertise by managing and updating technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.The work model for the role is: onsite (#Li-Onsite) in Pinetops, NC. The ability to work the second shift is required (3:30pm-12am).This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division.You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Defining maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities.
  • Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
  • Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
  • Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.
Qualifications for the role:
  • An associate degree in electrical/electronic or related field is preferred or a minimum of 5 years of experience is required (experience in electrical and mechanical field working as a technician in an industrial maintenance setting is preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience working on a production line equipment
  • Knowledge in electronic controls is required.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
