Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist*Relocation Assistance Offered*Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist who will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene within our manufacturing environment. This role requires more floor time compared to a QA Engineer, focusing on environmental aspects to ensure compliance with GMP standards.Responsibilities
  • Respond to leaks, pest sightings, and environmental incidents on the floor.
  • Collaborate closely with QA Technicians to investigate and address quality issues.
  • Conduct GMP audits through daily and formal assessments on the floor.
  • Prepare investigation write-ups for environmental incidents, managing 2-3 reports every 30-45 days.
  • Take an active role in writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation.
  • Co-own responsibilities related to GMP, pest control, leaks, and zoning programs.
  • Work closely with QA Engineers and Technicians to ensure comprehensive quality management.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences with 2+ years of food manufacturing experience in a GMP environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of GMP experience in food, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and coach team members.
  • Experience in pre-requisite programs, hygiene, and sanitation.
  • Working knowledge of pathogens, environmental monitoring, cGMPs, and FDA requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • PCQI certification for human food is a plus.
  • HACCP certification is a plus.
Work EnvironmentThis role involves spending 50% of the time on the manufacturing floor and 50% in an office setting. The team includes a QA Technician and a QA Engineer, with whom the QA Specialist will work closely. The environment is highly regulated, requiring adherence to strict GMP standards.
