
Production Supervisor - 2nd shift

- Support Quality/Business Management System (SAP)
- Ensure all product produced is within accepted specifications
- Verify equipment is running within accepted parameters
- Maintain maximum efficiency of all equipment
- Audit CIP’s
- Perform random inspections of equipment after CIP
- Periodically check chemical strengths
- Ensure all GMP, HACCP, safety, and all plant documentation and regulatory policies and procedures are followed in the production area
- Provide a clean and safe environment to work in that promotes production of a safe food product, free of human health risks
- Achieve all production goals (KPI’s) and report and document all reasons that targets are not met
- Ensure MSS is followed – ATP visual inspections, chemical titrations performed, and out of tolerance corrected
- Direct and train all production employees
- Ensure all production employees are working safely and efficiently
- Verify all production employees have a clear understanding of their duties
- Maintain compliance with all operating procedures
- Monitor staff performance and address any deficiencies
- Motivate and guide employees to enhance their performance
- Maximize output and improve morale by verifying all employees are doing their fair share
- Schedule and coordinate production staff on a daily basis
- Monitor and approve time / attendance for production staff
- Provide coverage when approving vacations
- Maintain record of employees’ attendance and tardiness
- Provide knowledge base and experience to operators
- Train operators to troubleshoot equipment by providing knowledge how equipment works
- Attend required training, including but not limited to, GMP’s, HAACP, SQF, Safety, etc.
- Implement CI Programs including Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Leader Standard Work
- Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements

- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in dry milk production preferred
- 5 years of managerial/leadership experience preferred
- Safety/OSHA knowledge and understanding
- Nevada Department of Public Health Milk Sampler Certification
- Certified Industry Analyst certification for PMO Appendix-N testing of Drug Residue in Milk
- SQF Practitioner Certification
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other report writing tools
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
