In this role, you'll utilize various hand and power tools, following work instructions to achieve our Tennant quality standards. If you enjoy being a part of a team and using your problem-solving skills, then this is the role for you.RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform mechanical assembly of products with complex functions requiring independent judgmentPerform in-process quality checks and communicate resultsRecognize, communicate and document safety concernsTroubleshoot and adjust to build a quality productPerform housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organizedIdentify continuous improvements opportunities and report through the tier structureProficient in multiple sub-assembly operations and shorter cycle time main line stationsPerform on a minimum of 4 overall stations, with at least two of them on the main line, as well as performs on other linesMust be able to float to any line within Value Stream and be effective after receiving trainingRecognize bottlenecks (mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc.) commonly found within the assembly processREQUIREMENTS:High school diploma, GED or equivalentTechnical Degree within a related field from an accredited institution or 2-5 years of related mechanical assembly experienceMust be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within mechanical and electrical assemblyHistory of continuous improvement within previous positionsRelated manufacturing experience is preferredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipREQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Able to lift up to 40 lbs., routinely lifts up to 25 lbs.Works in multiple positions during a shiftAbility to stand for an 8-hour shiftENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical partsOccasionally exposed to hot conditionsOccasionally exposed to non-toxic fumesModerate noise levelOccasionally exposed to oil, grease, gasoline, dust, metal particles and sharp-edged materialsMust be able to wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes and hearing protectionPay Details: $18.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
