And so much more.Come break through with us.Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.JOB SUMMARY
- Operational execution of key daily tasks associated with shipping and receiving
- Ensure incoming deliveries are receipted in properly and put away
- Maintain proper raw material replenishment levels in PSAs
- Perform system transactions for cables from Final QC
- Cut, package & store cables o Load flatbed trucks for customer shipments
- Safe forklift operation
- Expected to have full understanding of department and company procedures and policies
- Conduct safety walks within warehouse and throughout plant
- Effectively/professionally convey information internally and externally
- Wear proper PPE at all times in required areas
- Maintain compliance to training record requirement
- Promote Corning in a positive manner and lead by example
- Active good housekeeping and strict adherence to specific safety regulations and practices in day-to-day work
- Prepare necessary paperwork for finished goods cables including processing of cuts
- Effective, timely and accurate execution of outbound shipments with CLS designated carriers with the aim to improve efficiency in the warehouse, reduce transportation costs and meet customer requirements
- Ensure data integrity
- Work interactively with Stakeholders to ensure inventory and shipping accuracy, minimize shipping backlog and meet customers’ requirements
- Aid team members in SAP troubleshooting/training
- Responsible for ensuring charging of forklifts and other battery powered items
- Self-starter in areas of Kaizen & 5S
- Establishment of positive work environment

- 3-5 years’ work experience in a logistics role
- Knowledge of Supply Chain processes such as warehousing, distribution and inventory management
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Work experience with ERP business management software / systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle)
- Forklift Certification
