Job Title: Diesel Technician – Heavy-Duty Fleet MaintenanceOur client, a well-established and forward-thinking fleet operation, is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join their growing team. The Diesel Technician will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a diverse fleet to ensure it meets DOT and company safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, work well independently, and thrive in a collaborative, safety-first environment.This is a full-time role offering excellent benefits, a modernized shop, and a strong team culture in the Greater Cedar Rapids area.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and related equipment (engine, chassis, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)Use onboard systems and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issuesPerform preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) in line with DOT standardsWork with drivers to identify issues and complete accurate, timely repairsEstimate labor and parts costs; requisition and install replacement partsRespond to service calls and complete on-site repairs as neededMaintain clean work areas and adhere to OSHA and company safety standardsInterpret technical documents and service manualsSupport company goals for quality, safety, and customer serviceQualifications:3+ years of diesel truck repair experienceProficient in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic systemsWelding experience is a plus, not requiredMust have own tools and valid driver’s licenseHighly organized, self-driven, and safety-focusedStrong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilitiesSchedule & Work Conditions:Full-time, benefit-eligible position
