- Generating deliverables such as spool drawings/maps, installation drawings, and hanger maps.
- Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient integration of piping systems within the overall building model.
- Designing and modeling piping systems based off P&IDs and existing models.
- Providing technical support to project teams by troubleshooting VDC-related issues and assisting with model revisions as needed.
- Developing hanger and supplemental steel layout and fabrication plans.
- Supporting the field and shop through the project lifecycle.
- Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of modeling and design work, adhering to project specifications and standards.
- An associate’s degree in applied science and/or equivalent relevant experience in CAD Drafting, engineering, construction management, or a similar field is preferred.
- Proficient with REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM360, Microsoft Teams, and Planner. Overall strong computer skills are expected.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical piping design, VDC, or a related field.
- Willing to travel on an as needed basis.
- Ability to work within an environment with deadlines, and when tasked with multiple duties your attention to detail stays consistent.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well with both a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interpret and identify potential problems or risks and come up with creative solutions.
