- Accurately and efficiently handle material for both production and development efforts
- Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually transact material
- Document system issues, process flaws and inefficiencies
- Communicating with quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems
- Efficiently move material between sites, both physically and virtually
- Identify training needs for the team and assist in the training of new-hires and junior peers
- Meet safety, productivity and quality standards by following best practices
- Resolve individual work blockers and knowing when to escalate if you are unable to resolve yourself
- Learn new processes
- Operate equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand carts
- Contribute to the improvement of SOPs including safety procedures
- Shift schedule may vary depending on program needs and may include a weekend day
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
The Kuiper team is looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join us as a Material Coordinator. You will be responsible for processing materials in order to support our customer, the satellite production team. You will also interact with peer teams such as planning, quality, and EHS to ensure our processes result in positive outcomes for these teams. You are a problem solver and are comfortable performing a variety of procedures and troubleshooting standard tasks.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ year in supply chain, operations, warehousing, inventory control or related experience
- 1+ year experience using Microsoft Excel to navigate and interpret data
- Able to lift up to 49 pounds
- Able to stand/walk for up to 10 hours
- Willing to work a schedule that may include weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- 1+ year of ERP experience preferably with SAP
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
- Experience with Kaizens or other continuous improvement projects
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, listening, positive attitude, emotional intelligence)
- Forklift certified
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality
