We are a 2025 Great Place to Work, and are proud of the culture we are creating as we move ahead.Make a difference as a Clinical SpecialistAs a Full-Time Clinical Specialist at Distinctive Living, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. Your responsibilities will include visiting DL communities in need of additional clinical support and/or working as an interim Director of Health and Wellness when there is a vacancy. This includes delegating clinical tasks to community care staff, guided by state regulations, and performing comprehensive health assessments within 30 days of resident move-in. You will monitor residents’ health statuses through regular assessments, documenting all findings in our clinical management software. In this dynamic role, you will respond promptly to changes in resident conditions, supporting effective planning and interventions. You’ll also cover weekend on-call duties as assigned, addressing clinical issues as they arise and collaborating with the Executive Director and Health and Wellness Director to maintain compliance with licensing regulations.Fostering teamwork, training staff on ElderMark functionality, and participating in health department inspections are essential aspects of your day-to-day. Strong clinical assessment abilities coupled with RN delegation skills are essential, ensuring compliance with state regulations in assisted living and memory care settings. Your leadership capabilities will shine as you guide clinical teams, evaluate staff performance, and effectively train new hires.Robust decision-making and problem-solving skills are critical for responding to resident changes swiftly and implementing timely interventions. A comprehensive understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and state regulatory requirements will be necessary for maintaining compliance and supporting health department surveys. Proficiency in electronic health record systems, especially ElderMark, along with Microsoft Office, will streamline your daily operations.Excellent communication skills will foster collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, while your ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities will be fundamental in supporting residents across various locations.
