- Lead the planning, publishing, and optimization of content across all national Planet Fitness social media platforms for organic and paid.
- Manage the master content calendar in alignment with broader brand, campaign, and promotional timelines.
- Be the voice of our consumer in social through proactive collaboration across the marketing department and other internal teams.
- Translate brand and business priorities into actionable briefs for creative, influencer, and agency partners.
- Work with social and public relations teams to create a more robust real-time, trending social strategy, ensuring that content is created, branded, and posted within 24 hours to remain relevant and timely.
- Act as an expert on current social media trends, practices, and technologies in content development and keep a pulse on emerging social platforms.
- Advocate for Planet Fitness in digital communities across the nation and search for real-time social media opportunities to engage with our audiences.
- Identify and recommend brand and creator partnerships that support our objectives. Assist with vetting and approval process for influencers and creators.
- Review patterns to identify areas of future focus and strategies. Track, analyze, and report on content reception, feedback from audience, and social growth metrics.
- Work collaboratively with external social media analysis team to set, track, and analyze social media goals and successes on each platform to measure and increase impact.
- Maintain working knowledge of graphic design, 15-second video, and photography to create real-time social content.
- Serve as an on-the-ground social content creator & producer during major national events such as New Year’s Eve in Times Square.
- Travel to local Planet Fitness clubs to capture fun, in-club content, as needed, to keep our social subject matter unique to PF.
- Lead proactive outreach and management of UGC usage requests.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in social media content creation and marketing communications
- Passionate user of social media & digital technologies with strong knowledge of social media best practices
- Strong grasp of analytics, tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout, Dash Hudson), and performance optimization
- Experience managing or partnering with external creative and influencer agencies
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and copy/editing skills
- Demonstrated ability to grow online audiences through fun, engaging, and relevant content
- Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives
- Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally
- Creative, progressive, thought leadership with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
