Senior Electrical Technician - Tampa, FL

- Assist and train local maintenance teams at plants throughout Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi
- Troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
- Supervise, review, and assist as needed for manufacturing equipment electrical upgrades, and layout changes
- Work with local teams as needed on Capex projects
- Review project proposals, review timelines, and Identify equipment and connections points for electricians
- Troubleshoot and help with commissioning of new equipment
- Other duties may be assigned
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time (2-5 days a week)
- Experience working with equipment in an industrial manufacturing setting (mechanical & electrical)
- Some level of teaching or training experience
- Identify basic principles of electricity, Ohm's law, Equipment Testing, Electrical Safety
- Basic knowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E standards
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
- Teach and coach the three hazards of electricity - shock, arc, and blast
- Understand safety signs and guarding of energized parts
- Expert knowledge of the following; 480-volt systems, electric motors, light curtains, photo eyes, proximity switches, motor starters, relay contactors
- Troubleshooting PLCs; Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred
- Must be a safety champion
- Master Electrician's License or 7+ years of similar work experience
- Certifications (if applicable)
- 5+ years direct experience in the manufacturing industry strongly preferred
- Associate degree or technical college degree/certificate preferred
- Prior experience as a Trainer/Instructor
- Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP)
