Description :Summary: Dime Community Bank is currently hiring for a Quality Assurance Specialist I at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The Quality Assurance Specialist I performs file maintenance and new account reviews for Branch and Private Banking locations to ensure compliance with various regulations, including BSA and Sarbanes-Oxley. The frequency and scope of review is determined by the level of potential risk to the bank with CIP matters and other high-risk items reviewed more frequently than the lower priority items.Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $50,000 to $55,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.All applicants must attach a recent resume.Responsibilities:
  • Using various bank systems, perform an independent review of branch file maintenance.
  • Perform an independent review of all new accounts opened.
  • Ensure that file maintenance performed, and new accounts opened, were done properly and completely.
  • Ensure all new accounts opened have all required applicable documentation and were opened properly on the system.
  • Ensure all file maintenance performed in the branches was either authorized by customer or approved by branch management.
  • Follow up on all missing documentation associated with new account openings as well as assuring that necessary corrections on all errors and omissions are made within the previously determined time period.
  • Attend Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager and Private Banking Team Lead meetings in ongoing efforts to provide enhanced operational support.
  • Report branch error rate on a monthly basis.
  • Build a strong professional rapport with branch staff to assist with error reduction and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide mentoring for existing staff.
  • Assist Director of Quality Assurance with on-going department projects.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports regarding progress of work reviewed, AccountGuard cases issued, and past due items. Distribute reports to BSA and Regional Management in absence of Director of Quality Assurance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ Retail Banking platform experience or similar position experience.
