- Work collaboratively with Univision’s internal departments to gather information and coordinate with third parties to produce information
- Draft subpoena responses and prepare productions, under the supervision of an attorney
- Manage and maintain document management system and case trackers; litigation logs and case deadlines
- Follow up with third parties and internally to ensure contracts are fully executed, and route, track and distribute all executed contracts
- Draft and manage correspondence relating to DCMA takedown notices, and work with appropriate stakeholders to ensure compliance with those notices
- Manage copyright related claims or demands, including gathering of relevant information and ensuring compliance with preservation requirements
- Draft litigation hold notices
- Assist with internal investigation and litigation data or discovery collection, organization, and review.
- Lead the management of our subsidiaries worldwide; coordinate with and field questions and requests from internal departments (e.g., Legal, Tax, Finance, Treasury, HR and newsroom) and external service providers (including legal counsel within and outside the U.S.); prepare and file corporate documentation, including articles of incorporation, bylaws, board and shareholder minutes, resolutions, consents, powers of attorney and statutory filings or certifications; manage the database of records and corporation information for all subsidiaries; and engage and direct the work of corporate agents and outside subsidiary management vendors
- Support Board and Committee meetings, including drafting corporate governance documents, such as agendas, resolutions, consents, minutes and notices of meetings; and assisting with the distribution of meeting materials through a third-party electronic portal and the coordination of Board meeting logistics
- Assist with corporate governance matters, including coordinating notifications and certifications
- Perform other paralegal functions as assigned, including assisting with corporate governance matters and handling administration of certain contracts
- Minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience in a corporate or national law firm environment
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification
- Qualified (or willing to become) a notary public
- Demonstrated experience tracking and managing a large volume of agreements and contracts
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact and advise business stakeholders at all levels of seniority across the Company
- Strong organizational skills with critical attention to detail, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects under deadline and appropriately prioritize
- Make decisions using sound judgment and discretion while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles.
- Spanish & English fluency – excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, OneNote, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Highly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build strong professional relationships, including with business leaders and legal partners, as well as external counsel and complainants
