- Provide design leadership, coaching, and support in the effective use of engineering practices to analyze, specify, design, document, and test products
- Perform detailed electronic design, troubleshooting, validation, and qualification of power, analog, and digital circuits including microprocessor and EPLD-based systems design
- Utilize digital skills to produce the required Built-In-Testing coverage and achieve the data rates and responsiveness required to interrupt faults and report information to the cockpit
- Regularly interface with other engineering disciplines, both local and remote, to perform development and design validation activities
- Support manufacturing activities during prototype builds, executing startup and DVT testing of new designs, and the completion of detailed FTA and FMECA analysis
- Provide technical product support and troubleshooting as necessary to manufacturing, customers and end users
- Leverage knowledge of aircraft electrical system concepts and aerospace industry standards to develop system architectures
- Research, recommend, and develop technologies, processes, and methods to meet both customer and AMETEK goals
- Analyze and decompose customer requirements into design requirements while ensuring compliance with safety, redundancy, and reliability requirements
- Responsible for the high-level coordination of cross-functional engineering teams during all phases of system integration testing
- Prepare technical proposals and cost estimates
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering design work experience preferred
- Experience designing and analyzing analog, digital, microprocessor, and high-power AC/DC circuits
- A track record of on-time delivery of project milestones
- Ability to produce accurate, detailed electronic schematics
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, dataloggers, analyzers, programmable waveform generators, power supplies, and programmable loads
- Ability to write technical requirements

- Airborne electronic hardware development experience using DO-160 and DO-254
- Experience with one or more of the following: I2C, SPI, RS485, CANBus, ARINC 429
- Experience with implementation of analog filters and transient suppression circuits for EMI control and lightning protection of DC hardware
- Schematic capture using Altium
- Analog circuit analysis using LTspice, Pspice, or similar
