
Senior Paralegal (Labor & Employment)

- Drafts complex legal documents and agreements, including analyzing local requirements and tailored addendums; accountable for executing applicable deadlines relating to the same (e.g., settlement agreements, separation agreements, release agreements, non-compete agreements).
- Ensures legal team is updated on regulatory changes, including monitoring regulatory updates through applicable forums and education, updating and drafting internal policy documents/templates/forms to reflect changes, summarizing and briefing the team across various areas (e.g., employment, data privacy, compliance).
- Conducts legal research on various labor and employment matters and prepares summaries of legal authority found in case law, statutes, regulations, treatises, and articles.
- Prepares, develops, and maintains employment related reports by coordinating with internal business clients and outside counsel, including tracking all employment related litigation and outside counsel costs; reports out to stakeholders on cost, timelines, and efficiency.
- Develops and conducts comprehensive legal, system, and reporting trainings to a variety of internal business clients specifically related to data privacy, the compliance reporting system, investigations, and Dawn Raid training.
- Manages the compliance reporting system and serves as the global main point of contact, which includes entering all proxy complaints, tracking and determining trends and patterns in the reports, preparing appropriate compliance-related reports for the board meetings, and reports all complaints to the appropriate stakeholders in an efficient manner.
- Oversees and prepares responses to all data subject access requests that come through the online dashboard system. 8. Manages the collection, organization, review, preparation, process (e.g., litigation holds, coordination with GC on new litigation matters) and drafts responses to litigation, EEOC, DOL, and other employment-related government agency charges, inquiries, or investigations.
- Consistently and professionally communicates with internal business clients, outside counsel, opposing counsel, and government entities as a representative of the Ball Corporation Law Department.
- Broad training in a related field usually acquired through a college degree level education or work-related experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal
- Paralegal certification required
- Strong knowledge of employment law, litigation procedures, and terminology
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Able to prioritize multiple complex and time sensitive tasks with little direction
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Maintains a positive, problem-solving attitude when dealing with clients, co-workers, and attorneys
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with law department personnel, internal business clients, outside counsel, and third parties
- Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
- Hiring Salary Range: $ 74,600 - $104,160 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
