As a senior electrical engineer you will support all Busek’s propulsion thruster projects to include design, develop, build, testing and debugging to deliver space flight products. You will get to research and create innovative solutions in all stages of the design phase that advance science and Busek’s capabilities in the cosmos. To be successful in this role you will have experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing electrical hardware, for complex systems. This exciting engineering opportunity will allow you to directly contribute to space flight programs that support cutting-edge space missions for NASA as well as other government agencies and the commercial space sector. Come join our team!Day to day activities:
  • Work with senior engineers to design, assemble, and test electronic systems for space applications
  • Generate electrical schematics and PCB layouts based on design and simulation work
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical boards
  • Research and document test results
Desired skills:
  • Familiarity with electrical diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes and multi-meters
  • Experience developing relevant circuit simulations using LTSpice or similar simulation software
  • Experience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout or similar EDA software
  • Experience prototyping electronic designs including the use of bench top power supplies and soldering irons
  • Designing DC-DC converters (multiple topologies)
  • Experience with analog, digital and mixed signal design
