Zurich is currently looking for an AVP, General Liability Claims Manager.We're seeking an inspiring and dynamic leader to guide and support a high-performing team of Managers and Claims Professionals within our General Liability Specialty Team. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee claim operations across Captives, Excess & Surplus, Direct Markets, and Multinational programs.This leader will partner with the other AVPs within the line of business to help develop, support and drive key initiatives and strategies. They will also work on National Projects on behalf of the line of business and serve as a subject matter expert to the underwriting team regarding product developments or enhancements to provide support and guidance and ensure compliance with regulatory policies. The successful candidate will coordinate the work activities of the team and has responsibility for performance, development and coaching of staff to maximize contributions and drive employee development and operational improvements.   • Juris Doctor and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims area
OR * Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience in the Claims areaOR * High School Diploma or Equivalent and 11 or more years of experience in the Claims areaAND * 3 or more years of management experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of insurance legal statutes and procedures
  • Travel 25% or more

  • Expertise in Primary General Liability Claims, Captives, Excess & Surplus, Direct Markets, and Multinational Programs
  • Experience with leading leaders
