With over $225 million in annual revenue and 700+ employees across the U.S., Switzerland, and China, we operate with a streamlined regional leadership structure focused on performance, quality, and continuous improvement.Role SummaryThe Cost Accountant plays a key role in supporting our U.S. manufacturing operations by delivering accurate and insightful cost reporting and analysis, helping drive informed decisions that impact profitability and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and marginsPartner with production and operations to ensure accurate cost trackingReview sales quotes to ensure full and accurate cost allocationsPerform profitability and cost analysis for products and product linesMonitor and reconcile inventory transactions, including cycle counts and adjustmentsSupport the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesPrepare and post journal entries for month-end closeAssist in compiling monthly financial reporting packagesInvestigate and explain significant expense variancesReconcile key accounts and resolve discrepanciesContinuously improve cost accounting procedures and internal controlsSupport special projects and financial initiatives as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or MBA preferredMinimum 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environmentSolid understanding of US GAAPERP experience required; Oracle JDE preferredProven career progression in accounting rolesSkills & CompetenciesProficiency in Excel and financial analysis toolsStrong understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysisAttention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesAbility to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentComfortable working across teams within a global organization
