Selectek is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer / Project Manager (PE) to oversee the design and construction of municipal infrastructure and capital improvement projects in the Atlanta area. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a professional with strong technical expertise, GDOT experience, and proven project management skills.Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
  • 7+ years of experience managing surveying, civil design services, construction contracts, project estimating, and field inspections for local and/or state government projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • GDOT Locally Administered Project (LAP) certification required
  • Proven success managing projects through the GDOT Plan Development Process (PDP)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Construction management experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the Atlanta area highly preferred (local candidates strongly encouraged to apply)
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor CIP and SPLOST project design/construction
  • Prepare cost estimates, scopes, bid documents, and manage contracts in compliance with procurement policies
  • Oversee public works projects, including:
  • Roadway capacity improvements
  • Shared-use paths, sidewalks, and streetscapes
  • Storm sewer infrastructure
  • Bridge maintenance and construction
  • Traffic control and intersection improvements
  • Utilities coordination and relocation
  • Erosion and sediment control
  • Retention/detention pond designs
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, citizens, and City staff to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and GDOT requirements
  • Conduct site visits and inspections, resolve construction issues, and provide on-site engineering guidance
  • Manage public communications in partnership with City staff and represent the city at meetings, events, and hearings
  • Provide technical guidance and review development plans for right-of-way upgrades and utility coordination
Pay: $85,000 - $150,000
