Come join our team!Zantech is looking for a talented Senior Database Architect to lead database architecture and data migration efforts during a modernization project for an upcoming Hybrid role supporting the USCG.This role will be ensuring successful transition from legacy Microsoft Access databases to scalable Power Platform Dataverse architecture and will play a critical role in maintaining data integrity and implementing governance best practices.Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
  • Design and implement data migration strategies from legacy systems
  • Architect Dataverse solutions for optimal performance and scalability
  • Establish data governance frameworks and quality standards
  • Collaborate with developers on database integration requirements
  • Conduct data analysis and validation throughout migration process
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Expected to provide expert consultation on data-related decisions
  • May require coordination with external database vendors
  • Must stay current with Microsoft data platform updates and capabilities
Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:
  • 8+ years in database architecture with 3+ years in data migration projects
  • Microsoft SQL Server and Access database expertise
  • Power Platform Dataverse architecture
  • Data modeling and database design
  • ETL processes and data migration tools
  • Data governance and quality assurance
  • Performance optimization and troubleshooting
Preferred Certifications/Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Master's degree in Database Management or Computer Science
  • Advanced coursework in data architecture and analytics
  • Microsoft SQL Server certifications (MCSA/MCSE or equivalent)
  • Microsoft Azure Data Engineer certifications
  • Power Platform certifications (PL-200, PL-400)
  • Data management certifications (DAMA-DMBOK)
Required Security Clearance:
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or higher clearance, per contract requirements.
