- Use systemic problem solving methodologies in conjunction with statistical knowledge to drive continuous improvement, reduce variability, and improve overall yield.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to resolve production issues.
- Work closely with the Quality and management team to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on data-driven insights and feedback from customers.
- Support Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and standard work (SW) initiatives to drive waste reduction and efficiency.
- Oversee the performance of processes and tests, then document the results of the process or test.
- Develop, edit, and maintain standard work combination sheets (SW), process flow charts, and value stream maps (VSM).
- Support the incoming quality assurance (IQA) team with resolving non-conforming report (NCR) action items and countermeasures.
- Become a proficient subject matter expert (SME) on the products and processes in the assigned area.
- Become proficient in XRF technologies.
- Adaptability: Understands changes in work group tasks, situations, and the department as well as the logic or basis for change; actively seeks information about changes affecting their job. Considers changes, production issues, and new situations as opportunities for learning or growth.
- Engineering Processes: Working knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology). Working knowledge of the interaction between departments/ disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., operations, logistics, business).
- Motivation: Self-starter able to function with minimal supervision. Actively coordinates with other team members to proactively identify and resolve manufacturing quality issues.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Statistical Background: Experience with various statistical tools and software.
- B.S. or M.S. in engineering, or science related discipline (accredited university preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in statistical software (Minitab, JMP, R, or equivalent) for data analysis (required).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and/or lean manufacturing training.
- DOE matrix creation and interpretation.
- Proficient in MS Office. Specifically: Excel, Word, Visio, and Project.
