Kforce is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer that will design and implement an automated testing framework to support test-driven development and continuous regression testing within an Agile Scrum environment, including CI/CD practices. This role will leverage appropriate tools and processes to support functional, system integration, and ETL migration testing, while embedding quality standards throughout the SDLC to minimize defects and rework. Responsibilities:
  • Support design, develop and implement an automated testing framework; Develop and implement testing practices and tools as part of the framework which ensure releases are defect-free and perform at or better than expected levels
  • Responsible for gaining product knowledge on the areas assigned and work on building Regression Suites from the ground up
  • Provide technical leadership for a team of Quality engineers through test strategy, approach, direction communication and documentation
  • Learn the business and ensure the Quality Assurance team understands business requirements at a detailed level
  • Coach and train the quality assurance team as well as the scrum teams on effective testing practices, including test driven development
  • Automate the regression testing and ensure quality practices are built into the SDLC and DevOps practices
  • Ensure that business requirements are fully met before each release; certify releases for quality and completeness of functionality
  • Assist in reviewing, analyzing and documenting business and user requirements for technology product development
  • Closely collaborate with other technology and business users to ensure business and technical requirements are understood and met
  • Generate periodic test reports showing test metrics (defects trending, planned vs actual testing progress)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required
  • 8+ years of QA/testing experience in web applications, including UI, web services, microservices, APIs, and ETL components
  • 5+ years of hands-on scripting in Java, Groovy, C#, Python, or other OOP languages
  • 5+ years of UI automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java, TestNG, Maven, and Jenkins
  • 5+ years of API and microservices testing using REST-Assured or similar tools
  • 5+ years of experience writing medium to complex SQL queries for database validation
  • 2-4 years of experience designing and developing test automation frameworks (TDD, BDD, POM)
  • 2-4 years of performance testing using JMeter or equivalent tools
  • Strong experience in functional testing and building robust regression suites from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and success metrics, with recognized leadership in the field
  • Be flexible to switch between different areas and learn new technologies
  • Solid experience in the Logistics/3PL industry and managed transportation environments
  • Expertise in Agile development and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Proven ability to write comprehensive test approaches, strategies, plans, and test cases
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Datadog, and AppInsights
  • Experience with cross-browser/platform testing and tools like JIRA, ADO, Zephyr, and HPQ
  • Background in ERP testing and EDI validation, including translation maps and data mapping
  • Comfortable working in onshore-offshore models and collaborating across distributed teams
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; able to influence and lead change
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, decision-making, and building collaborative relationships
  • Analytical thinker with strong deductive, inductive, and critical reasoning abilities
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
