This role involves working closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and source top talent to meet those needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for construction and corporate roles.
  • Pipeline Development: Establish and maintain relationships with schools, vocational colleges, and universities to create a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, and direct outreach to build a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Job Posting: Create detailed and compelling job descriptions and post openings on appropriate platforms to reach potential candidates.
  • Screening and Interviewing: Conduct thorough screenings of candidates, including phone interviews and in-person interviews, to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment plans for each department.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by maintaining clear communication and providing timely feedback.
  • Offer Management: Manage the offer process, including salary negotiations, and prepare offer letters.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and labor market conditions to effectively advise on compensation, hiring practices, and recruitment strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with legal and company standards, including equal opportunity employment and data protection regulations.
  • Reporting: Track and report on key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate source effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in recruitment or a related field within the construction industry will also be considered.
  • Proven experience as a recruiter, with a strong focus on the construction industry.
  • Experience recruiting for both trade and professional roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
Physical Demands
  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to construction sites recruitment-related activities.
  • Some travel may be required for job fairs, industry events, and networking opportunities.
