- Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific program.
- Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the program's continued success, and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes.
- Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational, statistical, and financial reports are accurate and factual, and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies.
- Designs training programs and materials, conducts training sessions, and represents the program at various conferences, meetings, or seminars.
- May plan, administer, or monitor the program's budget and/or grants, and conduct financial forecasting for the program.
- May develop fundraising programs, including researching and identifying funding sources, and writing and submitting grant proposals.
- Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program; may write and present speeches.
- Maintains complete and accurate program records.
- May serve on or chair various University committees.
- May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
- A bachelor's degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
- This position is required to perform department program review and meet SACSCOC compliance standards.
- The successful candidate for this position will contribute to academic program review and the faculty review process, working with faculty and administrators.
- The candidate will be responsible for organizing meetings and managing information coming into and going out of the office; assist departments in self-study preparation; staff the Program Review Committee; help determine the cycle of and manage the schedule for academic reviews; and handle all logistics for the campus visits external review committees.
- For faculty reviews, responsibilities include the organization of materials submitted by the faculty; assisting with the external and internal reviewer screening and request process; and drafting routine letters.
- Serve as primary contact and lead for coordinating all activities related to program review with academic departments, centers, and other offices.
- Work with Director of Institutional Research on data preparation to ensure all departments/programs receive data they need to complete self-study reports.
- Track project status for each review and serve as communication hub for overall program review efforts.
- Create deadlines for major aspects for review process, ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner, and intervene when timelines are not met.
- Manage certain administrative and organizational aspects of tenure-track and teaching-track faculty reviews.
- The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work closely with faculty as well as administrators.
- This position requires keen attention to detail, comprehensive organizational skills, and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in accordance with individual deadlines.
- Experience working in an academic environment is preferred.
- This position will report directly to the ECAS Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs and also supports the ECAS Senior Associate Dean of Graduate Education and Strategic Planning.
- Primarily responsibilities are related to the academic program review process for department/programs and various review processes for faculty.
- Communication with internal and external constituencies, online research, arranging meetings, and other logistics are examples of required tasks.
