Allied Reliability is seeking a Supervisor (3rd shift) to provide leadership to the maintenance department for Food & Beverage operations. The fundamental responsibilities include ensuring systems are safe and reliable for maintaining overall plan equipment effectiveness. This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products. The job duties include responsibility for assuring food safety and for food quality for Dessert Holdings products. A supervisor or other person of authority should be notified if any issues or threats to food safety or food quality are observed.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for facility maintenance.
Establish schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services.
Identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff and allocate resources accordingly.
Participate in the development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures.
Make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies and procedures.
Participate in the implementation of approved policies and procedures.
Monitor work activities to make sure they comply with established practices and procedures.
Monitor and order control supplies and equipment.
Prepare documents for equipment procurement.
Coordinate training in facility maintenance and safety methods, procedures and techniques.
Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities and equipment.
Must be hands on and actively participate on the production floor while supervising employees.
Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
Will perform other duties as required by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
Possess knowledge of operations, services, and activities of a buildings’ maintenance and repair program.
Know materials, methods, terminology, equipment and tools used in maintenance and repair of equipment and systems including those used in performing plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical and painting work.
Principles of supervision and training.
Knowledge of pertinent local, state and federal laws, ordinances, codes and rules.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to actively participate on the production floor.
Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
Ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel or bend.
Employee must lift up to 75 pounds and is required to ask for assistance if limit is exceeded.
