Supports the operation of a Class A Surface Water Treatment Plant including chemical feed systems and performing required process control testing and analysis.Key Accountabilities
- Operates pumps, multimedia filters, chemical feed systems, and performs required process control testing and analysis.
- Fills day tanks.
- Calibrates chemical feed pumps, including checking chemical feeds at outlying stations that may be required.
- Receives and tests chemical deliveries.
- Performs routine maintenance and housekeeping, depending on actual working assignment.
- Overtime required.
- Performs daily sampling and calibration of monitors at remote feed sites.
- Computer - Microsoft Office
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years of experience in the water industry.
- Class A Illinois EPA Drinking Water Operator Certification or ability to obtain license within company guidelines.
- Valid driver's license required with the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
- Work schedule: Rotating Shift
- 7a-3:30p with required overtime.
- Processing daily necessary samples for this location
