
Project Engineering Manager (Onsite)

- Lead the Project Engineering Discipline in planning and tracking Projects to achieve optimal efficiency and establish best practice in project planning.
- Establishing and maintaining the project engineering organizational structure, tools, processes, and resources necessary to meet program commitments across cost, schedule, and quality dimensions.
- Driving accountability, efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability within the project engineering organization by improving workflows, building capabilities, and optimizing resource utilization across the whole ASE value stream.
- Lead the planning, tracking and reporting progress in Project Engineering.
- Interface with the ASE Program Managers and other Discipline Managers on schedule, budget and performance.
- Support the repair business units and/or engine centers in deployment of repair technologies
- Identify risk and manage risk reduction efforts
- Drive continuous improvement activities and robust root cause investigations to ensure ASE and P&W continue to deliver world class customer and shareholder value
- Build, develop & maintain a team that satisfies ASE requirements for discipline health, technical and CORE proficiency.
- Supervisory responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering and minimum 12+ years of related experience or an Advanced degree and minimum 10+ years.
- Extensive Project Engineering experience.
- Leadership experience managing risk, cost, quality, and schedule for programs with domestic and international customers.
- Experience establishing and executing a long-term strategy, partnering with customers and internal stakeholders to execute that strategy.
- US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
- 10% Travel.
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or similarly complex, safety-critical industries, with at least 5 years in technical leadership or management role.
- Proven success leading cross-functional engineering teams through the full product lifecycle—from proposal and concept to production and service.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and represent engineering with internal and external customers.
- Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), budgeting, and resource planning
- Ability to think outside-the-box and develop creative solutions to technical challenges.
- Excellent business judgement and professional maturity.
- Demonstrated experience managing large/complex programs and experience in managing program staffing, assignments, and resources.
- Strong proficiency in developing and presenting Strategic Plans and Roadmaps to senior management, and responsibility for executing approved plans
- Experience leading and/or supporting large complex production programs
- Experience in managing outsource resources.
