Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Respiratory Therapy Supervisor will assist the Director of Respiratory Care in overseeing the overall operation of respiratory area maximizing the resources of the department. Performs all services as they may relate to patient/treatment with consideration for the age/condition of the patient. Makes a significant contribution to the publics perception of the hospital. Performs additional tasks/activities as assigned. Demonstrates the appropriate attitude in the completion of his/her responsibilities.What You Will Do In This Role
  • You will provide high quality respiratory care.
  • You will oversee daily shift operations and staff.
  • You will maintain records and documentation.
  • You will educate staff, patients and family.
  • Assess, plan, evaluate, coordinate and provide quality care to the patients of the Cardio pulmonary department.
  • Performs all procedures as ordered by the physician.
  • Communicates with the physician as needed. Maintains patient records and log books, correlates charges with procedures.
  • Assists the director in keeping inventory needs at appropriate levels.
  • Assists the department director in maintaining appropriate PI programs while providing continuous assessment of and improvement to the quality of care and services.
  • Assists in the orientation of new employees and helps with in-services for the staff.
  • Assures that all employee evaluations are done on a timely basis.
  • Represents the department at interdepartmental meetings when requested.
  • Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform, the assigned duties.
What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP)
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Associate Degree
