- Implement activities and opportunities to encourage children's curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.
- Provide care for students' physical, social, and emotional needs while promoting and modeling the mission of the Catholic Church.
- Assist the lead classroom teacher in preparing materials, directing activities, and caring for each student while encouraging spiritual and mental growth to ensure proper development.
- Participate in and complete required training through professional development opportunities.
- Demonstrate professionalism, including confidentiality, when working with administration, staff, parents, and children while promoting positive relationships and effectively communicating with others.
- Lead children to meet high behavior standards
- Supervise children indoors and outdoors.
- Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building administration.
- Be an active member of a faith community and be a model of the teachings of Jesus.
- Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred but not required.
