Position Summary:The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a clinical staff position with responsibility for specified patient care duties within ENTAA- Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians LLC that is committed to improving the health of our patients by providing exceptional, quality care to adults and children experiencing disorders of the ear, nose, neck and throat, as well as hearing, balance, allergy and skin issues.Shift:Full Time (40 hours)Day Shifts 8:00 am - 5:00pmWeekend Work Not RequiredEducation:Minimum of a high school diploma or possession of GED is required.Required Work Experience:Minimum of one (1) year experience in a clinical setting or physician office. ENT and/or Allergy experience preferred.Licensure/Certification:Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Training ProgramCurrent training and certification in basic life support (BLS) required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Experience with computerized EMR (electronic medical records) systems highly desirable; familiarity with use of computers required.Ability to perform routine job duties with minimal supervision and direction.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with staff, physicians, patients, families and outside agencies in such a manner as to gain their confidence and secure their cooperation and respect.High level of patience, tolerance, and tact in order to deal effectively with people and time pressures.Professional demeanor, attitude and appearance. 10.
