- Provides support to on-site manufacturing Operations staff for troubleshooting and repairing of all cyclotron systems, support, production, and quality analysis equipment.
- Provide support/training to other manufacturing locations in the area.
- Effectively execute the established maintenance program for the cyclotron facility based on production demands and business needs.
- Maintains service tools and site-level parts inventory as required by the manufacturing preventive/corrective maintenance program.
- Acts as a subject matter expert and provides support to other locations and engineers.
- Provides technical support in investigations of equipment and production failures ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed satisfactorily.
- Conducts ongoing analysis to determine equipment trends and performance metrics to maintain reliable, consistent production.
- Implements performance and reliability improvements for assigned systems with guidance from the Regional Engineer.
- Performs any other miscellaneous engineering duties as required to ensure the goals and objectives of the department are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience (Engineering, Biotechnology, Physical sciences, Chemistry) preferred.
- Specific background and experience may be substituted for the degree requirements.
- A minimum of 4 + years related work experience preferred.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repair of large-scale (electronic, computing & mechanical) systems
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing in an FDA-regulated environment, or comparable mechanical, electronic, or laboratory background is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Radiation Safety, ALARA Concepts, and Radioactive Materials license and handling is preferred.
- Ability to lift containers weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Crawling, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
- Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects.
- May contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Works on complex projects of large scope.
- Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with the organization's objectives.
- Completes work independently and receives general guidance on new projects.
- Work reviewed for meeting objectives.
- May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
