
Sr. Strategic Sourcing Category Manager

- Oversee the contract life cycle for key spend categories, including preparing Requests for Proposals, negotiating terms and conditions, and leading sourcing teams.
- Develop and maintain expertise in the category being managed by analyzing trends and dynamics of the current market
- Develop and execute pricing strategies and contractual agreements that effectively align complex business objectives with legal requirements to drive targeted business results.
- Work with key stakeholders to determine specific needs of the business
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing sourcing strategy
- Identify vendors with the capability to meet business requirements
- Manage and monitor vendor performance on an on-going basis
- Perform additional assigned duties
- Works under general supervision
- No responsibility for the supervision of others
- Three to five years of experience in category management / strategic sourcing
- Proven track record of negotiations tactics and strategies resulting in cost savings and risk avoidance
- Ability to read, comprehend, and redline complex contract terms and conditions
- Strong ability to communicate with business owners, legal, and other stakeholders
- Strong MS Office Skills
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience
- MBA, CPSM or other applicable education or certifications highly desirable
- Typically, 3-5 years of related experience
- CPSM or equivalent desired
