That's why we're an employee-owned company.Primary Responsibilities: Assist in the manufacturing production of wire harnesses with primary emphasis being the inspection and quality control of completed wire harnesses. Effectively support new and existing employees with Training and answering questionsPrimary Duties:
  • Complete inspection of in-process quality assurance (IPQA) and finished wire harnesses prior to shipment to ensure goals of 5400 DPPM (defective parts per million) or better is achieved.
  • Perform inspection of PPAP(production part approval process), first article, and first piece materials/assemblies.
  • Troubleshooting of wire harness assemblies
  • Follow AS9100 and Quality Management System (QMS) documentation as
applied to wire harness production.
  • Assist in the implementation and compliance of department initiatives, programs, policies, and goals.
  • Support new and existing employees by helping answer questions on builds and work instructions.
  • Capture feedback and solicit review of work instructions to make process improvements.
  • Lead on the job training included training checklists and process updates.
  • Maintain strong communication between the production team lead, assistant team lead, and engineering.
  • Communicate issues that may prevent the successful completion of training in an effective and timely manner.
  • Assist in ensuring proper quality work is being performed and is in line with company Quality Policies
  • Coach/Mentor employees as needed on identified job build issues.
  • Contribute to additional responsibilities as assigned/needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude and abilities preferred. Experience with basic test equipment preferred.
  • Highly organized with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a positive attitude with a customer appreciation mentality.
  • Ability to lift approximately 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • IPC 620, IPC 610, and/or J-STD-001 preferred.
