Support to be provided through performance of such duties as managing the Medical Director's calendars in outlook and meeting schedules; managing professional correspondence and messages; handling responsibilities such as ordering supplies, managing facilities requests, answering the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner; using own initiative to draft responses as required; preparing invoice payments, opening and reviewing mail, preparing for meetings in conference rooms which includes ordering lunches, stocking drinks, and using the AV/WebEx equipment. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing correspondence for the department and to schedule meetings for the Medical Director. The Administrative Assistant acts independently to implement, perform, and oversee functions that provide administrative support to various departments. Establishes a cooperative working relationship with staff, physicians and administration to facilitate timely and high quality completion of work. Creates a positive office image by responding professionally to all patients, staff and other customers. Performs and manages basic office operations and works with the staff and physicians to facilitate the daily flow of the practice.
RequirementsEducation and Work Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED, college degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a medical front office setting
  • 3-5 years of executive-level administrative support experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude
  • Familiarity with EPIC is a plus
  • Customer service oriented with a commitment to patient care
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits coordination, and the insurance authorization process
  • Must possess skills in Microsoft office and databases
