- Design, develop, and execute test plans, procedures, and cases for embedded and application-level software.
- Automate testing processes using modern frameworks and scripting languages.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects.
- Validate requirements coverage by reviewing design and requirements documents.
- Ensure testing processes comply with defense standards (e.g., DO-178C, MIL-STD).
- Document and report test results to engineering leadership, program management, and customers.
- Participate in reviews, audits, and system validation activities, including field testing when necessary.
- Drive continuous improvements in testing methodologies, processes, and toolsets.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems.
- Strong background in automated testing and scripting (Python, C#, or similar).
- Solid understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and embedded systems testing.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience testing SATCOM, TTNC, or satellite systems (LEO, MEO, GEO).
- Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and simulation testing experience.
- Background in Agile/DevOps environments.
- ISTQB or similar software testing certification.
- Prior experience with DoD software compliance requirements.
