We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for your clients by offering personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities. This position requires a nurturing attitude and a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of those you serve.Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Safe use of assistive devices including gait belts, transfer boards, walkers, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Perform patient monitoring, including taking vital signs and reporting any significant changes to healthcare professionals.
- Offer direct support to clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that living spaces are tidy and free from hazards.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities that promote mental well-being.
- Assist clients with dementia care by employing specialized techniques to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Proficiency in First Aid techniques and emergency response protocols.
- Experience in home community care settings is preferred.
- Strong ability to perform patient monitoring effectively.
- Knowledge of medication administration practices is essential.
- Familiarity with providing support for individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments.
- Capability to assist with heavy lifting tasks as required by client needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others live comfortably and independently.
- Previous caregiver experience preferred (family or professional)
- CNA, HHA, or relevant certification a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
- Clear background check
