Certified Medical Assistant - Oak Harbor, WA

• Education: Graduate from a Medical Assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or a formal U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Certification:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or other formal program.
• Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Prepare examination rooms prior to patient arrival.
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Record patients' vital signs (temperature, respiration, pulse, blood pressure, weight, pulse oximetry).
• Obtain and document medical history, drug history, allergies, and chief complaints.
• Support physicians with patient examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Complete lab and x-ray requisitions per clinic policies.
• Maintain examination room supplies and perform routine upkeep.
• Enter patient demographic and visit data into the medical system at check-in and discharge.
• Provide care in Audiology, Deployment Health, Women's Health Services, Primary Care, and Pediatrics departments.
