Manage online, phone and in-person room reservations in sometimes fast-paced environment
Communicate relevant shift information to next shift and direct supervisor
Welcome guests, check them in/out, distribute room keys and explain the hotel's amenities
Take payment and resolve any payment discrepancies
Respond to guest issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner
Explain local amenities and attractions to guests
Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest requests
Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
Perform duties as outlined in the training procedures, following standard operating procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
Requirements
High school education or equivalent experience
1 or more full years employment experience in a related position
Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location
Hours required: Part Time 30 hours per week for AM; Mid; PM; shifts Overnight; Must be flexible; Weekends; Holidays
Proficiency in the English language
Willingness to learn new technology platforms
Ability to stand at front desk for long periods of time
Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs. guest luggage; limited
Ability to work independently
Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities
Previous customer facing experience preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft suite
Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French
