Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Remote ProFee Surgical Pathology Coder, offering the flexibility to work from home while supporting a leading healthcare institution.
Job Details
- Employment Type: Remote Healthcare Position
- Duration: 24 weeks
- Start Date: August 18, 2025
- End Date: January 31, 2026
- Shift: 8-hour days, Monday to Friday
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1350 - $4500
- Experience with EPIC and Cerner systems
- Medicare expertise, including "Medicare Unlikely Edits"
- Proficiency in Surgical Pathology Coding
- Skilled in ICD-10 coding for pathology
- Ability to abstract surgical path codes from pathology reports
- Understanding of modifiers and bundling relationships
- Review reports in Cerner and apply accurate procedure codes, modifiers, and diagnosis codes in Epic
- Maintain productivity of 8-10 charges per hour
- Prioritize oldest dates of service
- Send provider queries to the manager for review
- Analyze pathology reports, abstract CPT and diagnosis codes, and apply appropriate modifiers
